Youth coaching involves actively helping young people develop necessary life skills and learn
how to manage the stresses that come along the way. My work revolves around helping
the youth and young adults embark on a journey of personal development, while providing them
with the guidance for their future that they need. This can include:
• Building Confidence
• Setting and achieving goals
• Managing stress
• Discussing difficult issues
As the core of every young child is his/her/their family, my specialty extends to also encompass
coaching families. I collaborate with one or more family member(s) to set realistic goals, and to
devise active, effective strategies that will ultimately improve the family dynamics. Family
dynamics are the interactions between family members, how they relate to one another, and how
the family functions as a whole. Some common areas I help with are:
• Relationships between the youth and their parents
• New parent challenges
• Parenting issues for different stages, such as separation anxiety, depression or discipline
• Parenting kids with learning difficulties
• Teen pregnancy
• School dropout prevention
• Anger or stress management
My ultimate goal is to help the youth and young adults in reaching their goals while living in a
nurturing and healthy environment, encouraging them to discover who they are and what they
excel in as early as possible, and guiding them into becoming the adults that they strive and
dream to be. To achieve this, they must have a loving family. Children will only thrive if they
have physically and psychological nurturing parents. Thus, my speciality is to facilitate the
active cultivation of nurturing family environment and relationships. WIC: Women in Crisis
Women in Crisis: Aren’t we all? But now at least you don’t have to be alone!
Women nowadays are facing hardships that might come from any direction. We are the mother,
sometimes the father too…the sister, the daughter, and sometimes the brother as well.
After I moved to Canada, I worked with many women who felt they are alone after leaving their home countries and loved ones behind. I helped them adapt, cope, find peace, explore their skills and talents and build a new life. Many women suffer in silence, while others call for help but they can’t find it. You don’t have to be alone anymore! By asking for help, you’re already halfway through your breakthrough. Here are the different areas I can help you with:
• Bachelor degree in TV Production/Theatre:
Being a comedian by nature, I love acting and humor, and thus I work on integrating them in my coaching. Having the skill to make other people laugh was developed as a coping mechanism in my teen years to cope with the problems I was having at home.
• Teaching Diploma:
After getting married and having my three kids, I decided to become a teacher in order to be able to spend time with my children. I received my Teaching Diploma for secondary students and my Master’s degree in Education (ESL). Choosing to teach older students (14-17) comes from the connection I feel with that age group.
When I was in my teens, I was passing through a rough time and some of my teachers helped me get through it.
• Life Coaching:
After teaching English for 10 years in Beirut, I moved to Canada with my 3 kids. Here, I embarked on the journey of becoming a life coach specialized in the youth. My aim is to help and guide them through their ordeals. I received my coaching certification from CCA (Canadian Coach Academy)—their ACTP program is one of the most robust programs you can take. I’m an ICF ACC candidate.
Living alone with your kids in a foreign country takes a toll on you as a woman. I may not have been alone but I surely felt lonely. I felt that I aged ten years and I actually gained 15 kg. I was a woman in crisis! Enter my ‘WIC’ program to help woman as myself find their way through this tunnel.
• Guiding:
Currently, I also work as a guide for young girls at the Girls Guides of Canada
